Hollywood Wax Museum- Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2

It's that time of year again when Houses of Wax explores the darker side of wax museums. Here we see Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. In this gruesome scene, our villain seems to be working on his latest victim.

A close up of the scene. No wonder there was a detour around this Chamber of Horrors.

The rather large clapboard sign informing guests about the movie.

National Wax Museum of Lancaster County Heritage-Burning the Bridge

This scene from the National Wax Museum of Lancaster County Heritage shows four citizens of Lancaster burning the bridge that crosses the Susquehanna River. This stopped the Confederate army from being able to advance, and turned them west, an action that led to the Gettysburg battle in July of 1863.

One of the men with a pitchfork.

Another citizen of Columbia.

A man on his knees.

The best figure in my opinion, is this man blowing the fire.

Here's another view of the whole scene.

The informative sign next to the tableau.

The entire scene sold at the auction for $3,100.

All photos (except the first) are from Jennings Auction Group.

Quebec Wax Museum- Sign

22, rue Sainte-Anne, Quebec.

Located along la rue du Trésor, the Quebec Wax Museum can only be seen in this picture by the sign that hangs above the pedestrians browsing through the artwork in the street.

A close up of the sign. The museum opened in 1945 and is located in a 17th century house. It features wax figures of Quebec's most notable people.

Update: Thanks to reader Boulou who informed me that the museum closed in 2007. The figures moved to the Museum of Civilization in Quebec.
