Quebec Wax Museum- Sign

22, rue Sainte-Anne, Quebec.

Located along la rue du Trésor, the Quebec Wax Museum can only be seen in this picture by the sign that hangs above the pedestrians browsing through the artwork in the street.

A close up of the sign. The museum opened in 1945 and is located in a 17th century house. It features wax figures of Quebec's most notable people.

Update: Thanks to reader Boulou who informed me that the museum closed in 2007. The figures moved to the Museum of Civilization in Quebec.

  1. Hi ! You write "The museum opened in 1945 and is located in a 17th century house".
Maybe you don't know that it closed in 2007 and the collection was given to the Museum of Civilization of Quebec (Like the Montreal Wax Museum collection). The building was turn in a hotel.

  2. Thank you for the information. I noticed that the website for the museum was no longer working, but I could not confirm that it closed. I'm glad that the collection found a new home.
