This photo shows the wax figure of Queen Isabella I of Castile. Known as the financier of Columbus, Queen Isabella helped unify Spain. Her investment in the voyage of Columbus brought Spain out of bankruptcy and back into prominence in Europe.
A close up of the queen. It was also during her reign that the Spanish Inquisition began.
